I went on a date with a guy I met on tinder yesterday. He was definitely a character lol. First thing I notice when I meet him is he only has one arm. I think he noticed me staring and he said "Yeah. I put my arm in a meat grinder when I was 5." I didn't know what to say. I just said "Uhhh .. What?" He just nonchalantly talked about his family owning a butcher shop and him sticking his arm in a meat grinder. He was like "I don't even remember pain. I just remember putting my arm in there and it was gone." I honestly wish I didn't know that because it disturbed me a little lol. He's a college professor and he told me he has a kid who's 14 that him and his ex wife adopted from Russia 13 years ago. How he couldn't have children naturally because of an injury to his testicles when he was younger so they adopted after years of trying. A lot of severe injuries with this man from his childhood. He was just.... Eccentric. Very openly honest and told me a little too much on a first date. His son ended up calling during the date because he couldn't find the slim Jim's and I found out my date is fluent in Russian. He wanted his son to grow up knowing both languages so he wouldn't forget his roots. They were speaking a mix of Russian and English. Just felt the need to tell someone about my date with a guy with one arm who stuck his arm in a meat grinder lol

Edit: We actually are planning to see each other again. I thought he was funny and kind. Just VERY open. The meat grinder thing just disturbed me because of the image and where were the adults when their child was around a meat grinder? Luckily I also don't want children so him not being able to have kids doesn't bother me. I don't mind dating someone with older kids though.
