Getting OFF birth control? HELPPPP

Have any of you ladies gotten off birth control at any point in time in your life?? How was it vs being on it? After being on it for 5 years I’m thinking about getting off from it. I have a lot of side effects. Just wondering if there’s worse side effects going off from it rather than just staying on. Thank you!!!

I was on the pill for 6 years. Period was super irregular after quitting. Didn’t get a period for like 3 months then it would skip random months. It became a bit more regular around a year but still irregular, just didn’t skip months at that point! I never had side affects on it tho and never had any while quitting besides some spotting til cycle got more on track

I stopped it when I got pregnant (unplanned) and didn’t take for 3 years after that. I’d say I didn’t really have any bad side effects being on it or off it, but I ended up getting back on it obviously to prevent pregnancy but also because my periods became super irregular and I wanted to know when my periods were going to happen. There’s no way to really know how it will go, some people go right back to “normal” and some people don’t

Ive stopped several times before. I usually had a while before I started a period again. My hormones and physical symptoms were less consistent, more cylical. I wouldnt make any assumptions about what will happen or when. It can be a wild ride.
