Whenever my mother-in-law comes to visit, she does this to our guest bathroom toilet paper roll holder and hides rolls of toilet paper. It drives me insane.

I know a lot of people are going through a lot worse and my "problem" is comical and ridiculous, but it drives me insane and I hope at the very least it makes someone laugh!

A family member of mine visits probably every two or three weeks for the weekend. In the guest bathroom, I always make sure there's a roll of toilet paper in the holder plus a full roll on the extra part. This woman goes through a lot of TP apparently and every day she says she asks for a new roll (they're Costco rolls and usually last two of us a few days). I don't question it because I don't want to sound insane and like the toilet paper police. The one time I left all the partially used rolls in the bathroom on the holder, she put them in the cupboard and still asked for a new roll.

My husband is like "it's only a big deal if you make it a big deal" and I 100% agree, but at the same time... Would I sound unhinged if I said something about it to her?

Picture because this is what I have in my bathroom at the moment 🥴 Like I said, I know in the grand scheme of things this is so trivial. A lot of you are going through real, actual problems.

Edit: see I thought it was passive aggressive too so it's interesting that someone else sees that! This is the powder room in the guest bathroom so only she uses it. She has no problem using the main bathroom in our house either and doesn't do this in there. As for the guest bathroom, she typically doesn't touch the roll on the holder but will use the "new" roll in the storage part. She doesn't do this at home and has no problem using public restrooms so I don't think it's OCD or some type of germ aversion.
