When dating do I tell him I’m waiting for Marriage?

So a little back story I was SA’d in college at 18 and have been in therapy for years healing that traumatic experience, my therapist has told me because it wasn’t consensual that it doesn’t count I may not be a physical virgin anymore but I haven’t had sex with anyone after that encounter. So I’m dating now I’ve never had a boyfriend I’m 26…am I supposed to tell the guy I’m dating that sex is off the table until I marry? I’ve always wanted to wait until marriage but I’ve been told not to say anything but what happens if it comes up? Should I be upfront about these things?

I think you should be upfront about it, because for some people that may be a deal breaker. Not everyone is okay with waiting until marriage to have sex. That’s doesn’t mean you have to say it the first time you speak to someone, but it should come up fairly soon when beginning to date someone new.

It’s a conversation the two of you should have. I’m not sure who’s telling you not to, but intimacy is important and a big part of relationships, as is honesty and communication. I wouldn’t have married my partner without having tested the sexual compatibility portion. That’s me. What you want and what someone else wants needs to align to have a good relationship- that’s why you discuss it.

Definitely should communicate it, and maybe not day one but early so that they are aware. If they can’t handle that then there is less time wasted on someone who isn’t right for you.
