Having name doubts

I’m due in less than 8 weeks. We’ve had a name picked out since October, but I’ve been having doubts. The name is my maiden name Mason. My husband is dead set on it. When I’ve mentioned thinking of other names he completely turns the idea down. I made the mistake of telling everyone for these last few months the name choice.

My 2nd cousin just had her 3rd baby and was going to name her son the name (it’s her mom’s maiden name too) but when I told her we were naming him that she told me to go for it, and that she wouldn’t use it. So now I’ll really feel like an asshole if I don’t name him it.

I know the next baby not to tell anyone the name now for this reason 😅

Anyone ever have name doubts like this? I feel like I’m driving myself crazy feeling so conflicted.
