Metformin!

So can anyone tell me if this happened to them or not? So I am a plus size lady been trying to get pregnant having issues I did gain like 75 pounds from depression and I had got insulin resistance 😳 so my OBGYN put me on metformin to get my insulin good cause she said if it’s not at a normal rate it can cause me not to ovulate!

Well I was on it for 4 months and my period had gotten heavier and then my opk TEST was starting to be negative……before I got on metformin my ovulation test was coming back positive I would get my solid smiley face 🙂 but after metformin I stop getting them! Can someone explain or give me information about metformin and was is causing me not to get a positive LH surge
