What do I wear on a first date 😫

So a guy I've been friends with for a few years has admitted he feels a certain way about me and it's mutual but we're taking it slow coz I've got 2 young kids and only separated from their dad in November, anyway he wants to take me on a date to a bar for drinks on Friday night.

I'm 27 and I've never been on a proper date 🙈 Also not been to very many bars so no clue what the norm is. What do I wear .. I wanna look nice but don't want to be over or under dressed... I'm 5ft, still have some baby weight. Normally wear leggings but do I go for jeans and a nice top? Ankle boots with a heel? Send help 😫😫
