Clinic policy about transferring mosaic embryos

Virginia • Mom to 5 through adoption and foster. 11 yrs TTC without intervention, unexplained infertility. 2 rounds IVF, FET #1 due 7/9/20💙

I'm reaching out as someone who lurks around often, but hasn't been active on here since 2020. We have 5 remaining embryos, 3 low mosaic, 1 high mosaic, and 1 with Down Syndrome (they call abnormal).

3 years ago we moved our embryos to a different clinic specifically to have the opportunity to transfer our baby with DS. They transferred our last 2 genetically normal embryos and our little girl is 6 months old. From the beginning our discussion with the doctor was to transfer mosaic next and then one with DS.

We just had a consult and after I was called to say they are unable because the embryos were created at an outside clinic (aka not theirs) because it is a policy. We have been clear from the beginning that was always our plan and is the only reason we took the chance and money to move them.

I guess I'm looking for anyone who has experience with this, or maybe knows of clinics that are willing to transfer mosaic from outside providers and those with a known genetic diagnosis? I'm in the Chicago/Milwaukee region.

They suggested we just create more embryos! Except I want my current babies, not just more kids! We have 6 total already, 3 adopted, 2 IVF and 1 surprise.

Thanks ladies I know you're the only ones who understand!
