When did you tell your child/ children you were pregnant?

I have a child who’s 4 and we’re currently ttc baby 2. Before my child was born we experienced 2 miscarriages. I was wondering how long you waited to tell your child you were pregnant? Id love to tell mine straight away but know how quickly it can be taken away and I don’t want them to be confused if anything did happen.

We've always waited until the first scan to make sure everything looks good to that point, and so we could show them pictures (even if they don't understand the pics)

We told our kids when we found out at 8weeks sadly it did result in miscarriage so we were sad to tell them after them just being so excited. If we do find out we are this month 🤞 we won’t tell them till after we hit the second trimester just for fear of them being sad again. I feel you should tell them when you are ready to!!

We wanted to tell them with our first ultrasound but older 2 figured it out before then then went on to tell my mil before our 1st ultrasound too😅

My 4 year old figured it out before we could tell her. We wanted to wait until 24 weeks but no lie she figured it out by about 6. Probably because I was so sick she knew something was up.
