Scary bleeding/spotting positivity 🙌

This is my fourth baby. I always spot in the first trimester but it’s always the brown old blood.

I started spotting and bleeding last week when I was 5.5 weeks and the bright red was shocking and scary. It was only when I wiped, didn’t need a pad. I knew that the ER won’t do anything so I just waited. It never turned heavy and when I wipes a couple of hrs later, nothing. This has happened 3 more times since then. My OB was able to get me in today for an ultrasound. Baby looked great, strong 140 bpm heart rate and no hematoma. She said my body likely sheds what should have been a period instead of absorbing it.
