Call me crazy but I think this daughter is trying to kill her mom

I'm a caregiver/CNA and one of my patients is an old lady who lives in this big house. She's sweet as pie and just misses her daughter. She has dementia and sometimes thinks I'm her daughter. Her daughter has been coming around more and asking me where her mom keeps her credit card to which I said I'm not allowed to tell her that. Anytime she's been around was to ask her mom about money. I get a call from my pay niece who told me to come a little later because her daughter is spending the day with her mom. When I show up... This daughter has her mom head to toe in big pants and a huge coat and when I'm undressing her she also had her in a turtle neck. It's 90 degrees outside. Her excuse is her mom was cold. I let the niece know and the niece was angry and rightfully so. Maybe I'm overthinking it but I can't think of a reason someone would do that unless they're trying to kill their parent. The thought that someone would kill their parent over money is such a wild thing that I thought only happens in movies

Edit: They weren't indoors. She had her mom outside in 90 degrees weather with a big coat and pants with a turtle neck underneath. I can't think a grown woman would be that stupid to not know you don't do that. This poor lady was sweating and extremely red.
