What does spotting/impantation bleeding look like?

I have never been pregnant and I need help deciding if I am pregnant or if I am starting my period. FYI I do not have normal cycles that is why I am questioning.

I think its different for everyone and from what i hear it is uncommon, i had it & thought it was my period as it it was red & enough to half fill a menstrul cup on the strongest day, for me it was a very light, short (3 days if you include spotting), early period effectively. I had read it would be very light spotting, pink or brown so wrote it off but turned out a couple weeks later i tested positive & my DD is in line with me conceiving approx 8 days before i got my bleed, so GP said it was implantation.

Mom of 5 and 1 on the way, I had implantation bleeding with every pregnancy. Mine has been light pink or light red and only lasted maybe a day or two, maybe 3 at the most.
