Hi everyone!

I need some help figuring out if something is sinful or not. I am engaged, and I am trying to keep the will of God in my marriage. Unfortunately, my fiancé and I have participated in premarital sex, but I want to stop until we get married. He supports that decision (and bless him! His self discipline is much stronger than mine).

However, I’m at that point in my menstrual cycle where I’m craving sex and the desire is really hard to combat. I’ve prayed a lot and resisted it so far, but is it actually a sin to masturbate? If it is, I want to continue resisting. But if it isn’t…

I’m just confused because I’m unsure if masturbation counts as adultery or premarital sex since it would be with myself and not anyone else. Is that a sin, or is it okay? And does anyone know some Bible verses that clarify this?! Please help a sister out. Thank you!
