Gym-stay at home mom
Ok, so needing some pointers from other wives on how you handle wanting to go to the gym. I'm very overweight and had my last baby six months ago. I'm a stay at home mom and also considered disabled due to my autoimmune and neurological diseases. I've really been putting the effort and last month I lost 13 lbs. I am breastfeeding so I'm counting calories eating a well balanced diet and doing workouts at home when my body allows.
What I've noticed is my strength has improved my flare-ups are manageable. My sex drive has improved. I'm finding myself laughing and having fun more.
I want to continue to stay on this path. My husband isn't interested in changing his diet much and will eat what I make but still is on his own path. That being said he's healthier then me. He also plays sports and has a physically demanding job.
I want to get a gym membership so the evenings after the kids are asleep I can go workout. This is the only time my husband and I have together really about an hour or two a day. Also if the baby wakes and I'm gone he'd have to help me and he is exhausted from working and gets up at five am. Also the cost of a membership. How do I convince him it's a good investment?
How do other stay at home moms manage to find time to go to the gym outside of the home? I have equipment in my home, I'm wanting to get out of the house and have a variety. I haven't always been ill and overweight and I know how to properly workout and push myself with the balance of not to exhaustion.
I want a better life for myself and want to start investing in me.
