Boyfriend texts every day and he suddenly stopped

We do not live together. My bf msgs every day considering he wakes up at 5am and I wake up at 10am. Recently I’ve noticed whenever I wake up he doesn’t text me and I assume he’s busy at work. But lunch time comes around and he still doesn’t text me. By 1pm I finally just text him hello and he continues the convo like normal saying how are you, etc. another example is, he made plans with me to go to a birthday party of his friends at 1pm. I wake up at 10 and no text, 1pm comes around and still no text. I was still getting ready either way so I didn’t text first, when it’s 2pm I see he finally texts me and he’s says he’s at the party already and for me to go.

Like I know the phone works both ways, but idk if I should be suspicious about this? For 7 years we just have a normal texting schedule and it suddenly changes and he doesn’t tell me why.
