Nausea reccomendations?

Christina

I became undeniably nauseated by 4w5d. This is my ninth pregnancy (two living children), and I’ve never been nauseated this early. Due to spotting and cramping, I had serum hcg measured over the course of a week. My hcg first nearly quadrupled, then tripled, then nearly tripled again. While in the high end, it is still within normal ranges. I am now 5w3d and am really struggling. Last night I put a roast in the oven, and this morning I am dry heaving from the smell. The nausea is so intense I’m light headed, and it won’t let up.

A few days ago I tried a half dose of unisom before bed and felt hungover ALL the next day, and was still nauseated. My husband works long hours, so I am by myself in a rural area tending to kids and farm animals; I have to be functional. I’m already taking B6 and eating as often as I’m able to. Due to autoimmune and hormonal problems I have to be gluten/grain-free and low-/no-carb. Any suggestions? The doctor didn’t have other otc ideas, but did suggest prescriptions if I feel they’re necessary. I want to avoid them, if I can.
