When is the best time for a baby shower?

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I’ve never had a baby shower before. With my last pregnancy it was in the middle of covid so this time I would love to do a baby shower but idk when’s the best time. I thought 38 weeks would be perfect but everyone is saying that’s way too late.

I had both mine at 35 weeks but wish it was about 30 weeks.

I had mine at 33 weeks & ended up having baby at 37 weeks. I only had 4 weeks to organize & purchase whatever else was needed before baby’s arrival. It honestly felt rushed for me, I wish I had it a little sooner. I think 28-32 weeks is the perfect window. But then again if you end up going to 40-42 weeks then 30-33 weeks should be fine. It’s just impossible to know. I’d recommend planning for the earlier, because you never know.
