Oversupply immediately after delivery?
I’m 4 days postpartum and due to a slew of complications after my delivery (passing out, post partum preeclampsia, and now an infection of some sort) I have been unable to establish a breastfeeding routine. I’ve nursed baby maybe 10 times since she was born but she only latches for about 30 seconds to 2 mins and I end up having to then pump for ~15 mins. *Which before I get someone jumping down my throat about, was advised by multiple IBCLC’s*. I had a precipitous birth so baby has issues with fluid and is a difficult feed anyway. I’m currently pumping every 3 hours and I’m getting 6-8oz per 10-15min pump. I’ve already frozen 2 bags. I feel like my milk came in SUPER aggressively. Anything I can do to slow this down? I feel awful from the fever and chills from this infection and I don’t want to loose my supply. But considering baby only needs a half of what I’m pumping, can I skip a session or just hand express. Has anyone else exclusively pumped since birth and had a a similar issue? I did have similar issues with my first and needed to pump immediately post partum, but I was barely producing this in the complete opposite.
