9 month old sleep help

Hi everyone,

I need some help/tips on how to get my 9 month old son to go back to sleep in his cot at night. He’ll go down at 7:30pm and then wake up about 10:30 and have a feed. He will not go back to sleep in his cot. We can hold him, he’ll fall asleep, then as soon as he touches his mattress, eyes open and he grabs his feet and then rolls over onto his stomach. Get him out, he’ll fall asleep in our arms, then repeat the above. My partner has started to put him in our bed since I work nights 3 days a week, he falls asleep almost instantly. Let him lay there for a bit, move him to his cot, wakes up. We have just started to leave him in the bed with us, even though we don’t want to cosleep due to possible dangers. We take our pillows off and don’t pull the blankets up, which is hard during the cold blue mountains winter nights.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
