I've been with my boyfriend for 4 years, we are hour and a half of driving apart. Lately I've been fed up with long distance and I really want to see him more often. We had a serious conversation recently that had a scary conclusion that neither of us want to move. I live in a big city and have a family business here that I am very involved in. He lives in another country in more rural area, it's very quiet and beautiful and he is hesitant about switching that for a big city. Our countries are both in the EU so we wouldn't have much trouble moving, languages are similar but he speaks mine better then I do his. He works in a bank and could stay working in his country and drive an hour to work everyday. I could go to his country to be a social worker but I don't wanna leave everything that I built for myself with my family business. Did anyone have a similar situation? How did you solve it? I feel like breaking up over this would just be a major defeat since everything we have is so beautiful and I want us to grow more and see how living together can benefit our relationship.
