First OBGYN appointment in years, I need advice!

So Long story short I haven’t seen an obgyn going on 3 years now due to financial and insurance issues but now I have coverage and got an appointment set with a new obgyn I’ve moved states since seeing an obgyn so I’m super nervous. I had to switch 3 times in the last state I lived before I found an obgyn that even understood pcos properly and didn’t want to shove me on birth control or metformin. I’m also coming up on my 1 year wedding anniversary and we have been ttc almost 16 months with no luck but I also didn’t have a cycle for 10 months at one point. I’d really appreciate any advice y’all have regarding going to a new obgyn like what are some red flags and green flags that I need to look out for, also I really don’t want to try metformin as in the past I was never insulin resistant and I have ibs and got my gallbladder removed so the side effects a big game changer for me. I’m definitely interested in Clomid or letrozole anything that made to help with fertility and ovulation. I also know a Reproductive Endocrinologist is my best bet for help with fertility but with my insurance I have to go the obgyn route and get a referral first.
