Only one day period?

Hi everyone - I was waiting for my period to start my birth control so I was having unprotected sex but he never came in me!

I got my period 2 days later than expected ( not on the 5th but the 7th)

The moment I started seeing blood I took my birth control and my period only lasted a day.

It was mostly when wiped but blood was red.

But only for that day and ended

Is this normal?!

Can I rule out pregnancy?
