No Doppler at 10 week appt?

Venting... I guess? I'm just very confused. I had my second appointment today, 9w6d, and they didn't listen to the heartbeat or anything?? I even asked if they would, because I was a little concerned at my first confirmation ultrasound with how low the heartbeat was, and he told me they don't hear anything at 10 weeks? But I see people on here all the time less than that saying they're 180 bpms and it's really discouraging
Anyone had the same??

Thats way too soon to expect a Doppler. If they do it too early, baby might be too small to catch it and it will cause unnecessary stress. The other posts you’re seeing are probably just talking about their ultrasounds.

My 10 week appointment they used a Doppler but cautioned me that it wasn’t uncommon to not find the heart and to not be concerned. Luckily I heard the heart and that gave me reassurance of course but I wouldn’t be concerned that they didn’t use the Doppler at my 10 week appointment. I was pleasantly surprised. I don’t recall them doing that with my first pregnancy.

My OB doesn’t do a Doppler until after 14 weeks.
