Update: Had to postpone my follow-up an entire week so my husband could be there so the wait has been BRUTAL. But little baby bean measured only a few days smaller than my estimation and everything looks great 🥹 that early scan had me spiraling. 10/10 do NOT recommend such early ultrasounds if you tend to be super anxious like myself. I measured 8w6d today.

I went in today to take an early look at baby after 3 great blood draws (24hrs after testing positive, 48hrs after that, 4 days after that) expecting to be right at 6w and maybe 1 or 2 days (BFP 7/9) but the tech said I’m measuring less than 5 weeks! We saw a strong heartbeat, she said the HR was 122bpm. I don’t understand how >5 weeks and a strong heartbeat can be in the same sentence?? She wouldn’t even give me an EDD since she said it’s too early to tell.

I have measured small during early scans in the past so I’m trying not to spiral but since my last pregnancy resulted in a MMC, it’s hard not to. I am sure of when I ovulated/had sex and had been testing daily for a week before my bfp. I’ve had two successful pregnancies and my symptoms have mirrored those and I’m also on progesterone this time (wasn’t last time when I mc) but I’m wondering if the U/S could have been at a weird angle or if it’s still just too early?? I go back in 13 days and will be an anxious mess until then. If you pray for strangers on the internet, please pray for me and my itty bitty.
