Tooth extraction question!

I have never had a dental extraction before so forgive me if I sound so silly, but I had to have a back molar pulled this morning around 11am. The space right now where it’s gone looks huge and it bled for 3-4 hours after. The dentist had to use 3 stitches to promote better healing. I haven’t ate anything and I know I’m supposed to stick to mushy stuff tonight like mashed potatoes etc but would I be okay to eat soft food such as pasta/spaghetti/tortelloni tomorrow? Also, the end of the wound where the stitch ends looks like a big lump. I assume normal?
