Do I have a right to kinda be upset about this or am I just taking it personal? I run a small business. I’m always open to give discounts or even trade services with other small businesses etc which I’m not sure if that’s smart anymore because this isn’t the first time something like this has happened, but a couple weeks ago someone messaged me wanting to order from me for an event they were hosting (I make candy, fruit displays, baked goods etc stuff like that) it was the biggest order I had ever gotten. This person is a photographer and promotes on social media they told me they would be willing to take some pictures of my work with my logo etc to promote my small business which I said was fine id appreciate it so in return I gave a pretty large discount on the order total thinking that this event and promoting would bring me more customers in the long run. My work always looks great I just don’t have a large following on social media so my posts don’t get a lot of reach when doing my own promoting. I spent about 3 days making everything and used a LOT of supplies but just kept telling myself it would be worth it because I’ll get more customers. It was all picked up the day of and everything was fine they said they absolutely loved the order but then a couple days afterwards the person posted pictures from the event and gave credits to everyone who helped with the event like the person who made the cake, person who did the balloon arches, etc like tagged a bunch of people in the post giving them credit for what they did, but I was not mentioned or tagged in the post anywhere for my work… there were some pictures of my work but you couldn’t see my logo or anything. I’m honestly still kinda upset about it and wanted to message the person asking why I wasn’t given any credit or if they didn’t like the order or something ? But it’s been a little over a week so I feel like it’s too late to say anything about it now, Idk I’m mainly just confused but do I have the right to kinda be upset about this or am I being dramatic? It’s hard being a small business owner and I can’t help but feel like I kinda got taken advantage of and actually lost money by doing this order idk.. I guess it was a lesson learned but still.
