Is labour near?

40+6 weeks, had a sweep done the other day, lost some mucus plug the other day then have had this huge loss today
What are peoples experiences with loosing there plug after 40 weeks?

Labor is near regardless. Lol 
This amount of plug still gives no sign of how close labor is. 
Once it’s bloody, it’s typically 24ish hours later.

losing your mucus plug is not a sign of labor, only if you’re having consistent contractions or bleeding (bloody show)

it can mean onset of labor for some. it can still be a while before your body naturally goes into labor. being overdue you are, I would have everything in the car and prepare lol.
