Brown discharge HELP

So l'm around 8-9 days since my period ended, I had some cramping, nothing major but definitely uncomfortable. Thought l'd come back on but when I went to the toilet to check I had very watery dark brownish discharge and a lot of it. I usually get it before or and the end of my period but this is right in the middle of my cycle and the colour was definitely off than the usual.. anyone have any ideas?
