Anyone pregnant at 47?

I am 47 and still have regular periods. Is it possible i can get pregnant? I alreadyhave grown up kids and wanting another baby for the last time. However, partner is type 2 diabetic and a chain smoker and apparently he's taking several meds. So I am not sure if it is me or him that can't be able to have a child.

I would talk to your doctor. There are risks with age. I’m 37 and pregnant for the 3rd time. My doctor went over the risk of multiples (which we got twins, lucky me!) risk of chromosomal defects, risk of not carrying to term, and you’re monitored like crazy. Some of that can be avoided if you were to do IVF. But the older you are the riskier it gets. Talk to your doctor about your plan.

It’s possible but slimmer chances and risky. There is a mom at my baby group who is a first time mom at 47, all natural too. A complete shocker for her as she thought it was the menopause. 
Might be best to speak with a specialist and weigh up the pros and cons for you

My neighbor got pregnant at 51, first time mom, and now has a healthy child. She said she breastfed for a couple of months and then went right into menopause.

Can you conceive, probably, but at your age, your eggs basically all have chromosome abnormalities. Depends on what you are willing to risk. If it was me, I would do donor eggs.
