Only 7 feeds as newborn?

Yesterday my baby only nursed 7 times. He will be 2 weeks on Sunday. He is back up to birth weight so I was told I don’t have to wake him to feed. I usually aim to get 10 minutes per boob….though yesterday he did have two feeds that were about 30 minutes total. Is this bad? Has anyone else experienced this so early?

You need to feed on demand or every 2-3hrs. This is crucial in the first 6 weeks to establish supply.
Do not time feeds! You are hurting your supply and not letting babe get hindmilk by timing each breast. 
Latch on demand for however long they want. Switch breast when they pop off. Alternate the starting breast each feed.
Babe needs to eat 8-12+ times a day. 
6+ wet diapers a day equals plenty of milk.

7 feeds is not enough during 24hr period. You need to wake to feed every 2-3hrs during the day or on demand if baby wants fed before that and wake at night not longer than 4hrs. Your supply will suffer if you don’t.

That is a lie. If he’s only feeding 7x a day that is nowhere near enough and he’ll end up losing weight & you’ll lose milk. You need to still get him up every 2-3 hours during this period. And latching should last until he is satisfied, there’s no timer on how long he can be attached for. Some babies are 20 mins some are an hour
