Moving in tg- which is better?

Is it better to move in sooner during the honeymoon phase or after like five years where the honeymoon phase wore off? 
My bf and I are moving in together for the first time after five years of being together and I’m scared.

It’s about being ready. By this point, you should have discussed finances and expectations about money, spending, goals and bills. Opened a joint account. Discussed household expectations, pet peeves and how you want your space. 
I don’t think you should be scared. You should be ready for your relationship to change and grow. You learn a lot about a person living with them. You have to mesh and compromise - that takes work and maturity. You have to continue that throughout ups and downs.

I don't think one is better than the other. It all depends on you guys and how well you communicate with each other to handle small issues in the house. As well as being able to discuss bigger issues like financial things. It all takes a transition.

The “honeymoon phase” isn’t a thing. 
Moving in together is about being ready and on the same page. There isn’t a “right” time. It varies depending on the couple and situations. 
After 5 years together, why be scared? You know each other inside and out at this point. Life will be far more convenient. What’s the worry? 
I moved in with my husband when we were just casually sleeping together. We moved in as “friends” so we got a 2 bedroom. We rarely slept apart and ended up officially dating about 5 months into living together. We were very clear on what we would do about our lease, belonging, and pets if we were to break up. We didn’t assume we would end but we wanted to not have a messy break if it did happen. It was a very healthy discussion. We have been together 11 years and married for 5 (in October). We still have that discussion on how things would go if we split up 😂😂 even though that is highly unlikely at this point! We never had a “honeymoon phase”.
