Need advice:)

Started combo pill first time (Norgestimate 0.25mg, ethinyl estradiol 35mcg. Glenmark brand) on the first day of my period on 8/29 I take it same time everyday and never miss one. we had unprotected sex on 9/7 (9 days after starting BC) and 9/11 (never finished inside, he put on a condom after maybe 5 minutes of unprotected) im just now starting on the placebo row. was I protected at that time? I've heard it takes up to a month to be protected but I also read that after 7 days you are protected from pregnancy? should I be worried?

When should I expect my period? Thank you!:)
