Kids and family

How do you explain to your child when another child doesn't like sharing because their parents have shown them not to share anything.

Also how do you explain family issues when you don't want to be around family members but your kids frequently ask about their cousins? I personally don't like the environment for my children and like to keep my kids away from certain people.
