Should i be on birth control?

Me & my bf are waiting but he does finger me once in a while but we both know it’s not going pass that as we both feel strongly about waiting. But should I be on birth control even though we are not really sexually active yet. I held off birth control because of the side effects.

That’s completely up to u! If ur 100% sure ur not going to have sex anytime soon, then technically there’s no need for it. That said, starting it in advance would give u the opportunity to make sure ur on a birth control that’s going to work well for u… Meaning, if u start something & it’s not a good fit for u, u can safely try something else without ur protection being compromised, as finding the right brand or method is often trial & error. But again, it’s ur decision!

I agree with Lorissa. You also can try the non hormonal iud. I had it on and off for about 7 years. I got it taken out in between there to have our second baby.
