Early Pregnancy Bleeding

Hey, ladies.. I’m 7 weeks pregnant. I went to the ER Monday due to me bleeding but the bleeding wasn’t like a period more so when I wiped I saw blood.. before the blood became darker I was only spotting light pink blood. I went to the ER once it became darker (as I wiped). They did an ultrasound on me and they seen the baby in the sac and the heartbeat was 155. They discharged me as “Threatened Miscarriage” A few days after going to the ER the bleeding got worse and has been coming down like a period. Today I passed the biggest blood clot I’ve ever seen. Now I’m confused because if the baby is fine then why am I passing so much blood and on top of that I’ve been passing clots.. is it possible I could be miscarrying at this point? Has anyone ever experienced this? Is so, can you tell me your outcome?

I have two little girls and have never experienced any bleeding in my pregnancies before.
