Any other pregnant nurses?

Are there any other nurses that are pregnant? What should I avoid at work? I know it’s kind of broad but any suggestions and guidance would be much appreciated!

I am a nurse…but not pregnant (yet).
Definitely keep your gloves on while handling all meds. I have been places where a specific medication will state not to handle with bare hands while pregnant. Then I work somewhere else and that same medication is not labeled with the warning sticker. Also, I had a patient who was receiving some form of radiation therapy. Her chart warned pregnant people to not handle her bodily fluids… but, there are mixed reviews out there on that.

I am not a nurse but I am a pregnant radiographer who works in a public hospital. When I go to do mobile X-rays I make sure I let nurses know that I am taking an X-ray so they can hide from radiation. I would suggest be careful of manual handling and try not to lift heavy objects or support a patient on your own. Try to rest and keep hydrated. Be cautious of bodily fluids and wear a mask and gloves while examining patient since you don’t know what contact or airborne disease they are carrying.
