16 weeks pregnant - pain after intercourse

Pa

I haven’t had sex since getting pregnant, and now I’m around 16 weeks along with a healthy pregnancy. After having sex, I noticed a few hours later I experienced cramping and a shooting pain on my left side, near the pelvic area. It’s not constant and seems to happen more when I walk or stand up. However, when I sit down, the pain mostly subsides—there might be a slight sensation, but no sharp cramps, and I can sit comfortably.

Before sex, I didn’t have any cramping or shooting pain, just some ligament discomfort. I haven’t experienced any bleeding or spotting, so I’m not overly concerned, but I’d appreciate advice or opinions from anyone who might have had a similar experience. Should this be something to worry about, or is it a common part of pregnancy?
