False labor?

I got a membrane sweep Thursday afternoon and I lost my mucus plug yesterday evening. I started to have irregular contractions (stronger and longer than my Braxton hicks) about 6-9 minutes apart and decided to go to bed to try and rest just in case the real thing was starting. I woke up to a few contractions last night but they ended up stopping at some point. I was really hoping the real thing was starting but I’m guessing it’s not. Was this false labor or just the start of early labor? Not really sure what to expect.
