Mucousy/Sticky clear and bloody discharge before period

Newly on birth control going on my third month now I was on antibiotics this month which lessened the potency of my birth control. I am about four days away from my period and today I had cramping as well as some clear and bloody mucousy discharge is this normal? Has anyone else experienced? Typically I don’t spot before my period. However this is my first time on birth control so I’m not sure if this is just a normal side effect. Thanks in advance!
