plan b ineffective?

hi, so i had my period october 3rd-8th i ovulated around the 16th and i had unprotected sex yesterday and i was wondering if it’s too late to take a Plan B because I thought that it won’t work if you already ovulated, I am supposed to have my period on Halloween. Is it too late for me to take a Plan B for it to be effective?

Plan b needs to be taken within 3 days of sex. Take it. The app is a guesstimate. 
Use protection. Pregnancy is preventable.

Plan b is meant to prevent pregnancy by delaying ovulation. If your last ovulation there is no need to take a plan b since you can't get pregnant after ovulation.
With that being said if you are just going by the app then I would go ahead and take it because the app doesn't actually know when you ovulated and you could ovulate later than normal.
