Why is age 4 so hard?!

I really thought 3s was hard… boy was I wrong!!

My 4 year old son can be SO explosive. If hes overtired, all hell breaks loose: screaming, kicking, not listening at all. Hes newly transitioning into no nap with school and all, and its been rough! I am constantly walking on eggshells, scared he will be too loud, explosive etc.

Hes been tested for it all and hes apparently just a normal kid. I tell him not to do something and its like in one ear, out the other. Im a single mom so theres no other parent to turn to and all.

Ive tried time outs. Taking toys away. Gentle parenting. Nothing works. Please tell me this is just a phase😭

I want to enjoy my child! But its so rough when I have to walk on eggshells and they just dont listen😭

I feel like I cant enjoy anything in my life right now.
