9wks but baby measured at 6wks?

LMP puts me at 9 weeks but our first ultrasound measured baby at 6 weeks 1 day. They say it’s too early to find a heartbeat so we’re going back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound. Has this happened to anyone? I’m so nervous and scared but trying really hard to stay positive.

I saw a heartbeat flicker at 6w4d.

It doesn’t sound too promising. A heartbeat can be seen and heard at 6w1d. Was baby measuring the same size as the sac? 
Measuring 3 weeks behind would mean the earliest you could’ve gotten a positive test was 3 weeks ago. If you had a positive over 3 weeks ago, it’s unlikely viable.

Do you have irregular periods? Did you track for ovulation? 
I have measured a week behind before based off my last period but I knew when I ovulated so I was right on track. To be honest being 3 weeks behind I would be concerned unless your periods are are irregular
