Action Required: Prevent Data Loss in Upcoming Eve App Update
Dear eve users,
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving your experience, we will be rolling out an important update to the eve app starting from Nov 25, 2024. This upgrade is needed for introducing new features and enhancing overall app performance.
For those who have enabled the “offline data protection” feature (which only keeps a local copy of your important health data without a server backup), it is important to take one of the following actions to ensure your data is securely migrated:
1.[Highly Recommended] Disable Offline Data Protection before updating the eve app & re-enable it after the update:
- First, disable the Offline Data Protection feature in the Settings menu before updating the eve app. This will enable Glow to securely migrate your health data to Glow’s servers.
- Second, upgrade the eve app to eve iOS 10.0.0 or eve Android 10.0.0 and re-enable the Offline Data Protection feature. By re-enabling it you can continue to keep your health data only on the latest version of the eve app on your mobile device.
2. Do not upgrade your eve App: Do not manually or automatically upgrade your eve app and stay with the old version. If you upgrade (even accidentally), then you will permanently lose the health data stored locally on your mobile device.
Important Warning: Failure to take any action will result in the loss of your offline data after the app is upgraded.
We highly recommend taking option 1 to ensure a smooth transition and safeguard your data. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter and for being a valued user of the eve app.
