Tired of having to live off 20k a year?

I got laid off from my job and so far I’ve only been able to find a job making 20k a year when before I was making almost double. I’ve applied to several jobs over the last few months and keep getting rejections and there aren’t many jobs in my area so the competition is high. Any suggestions?

I’m not sure what you were doing before, but I’d apply everywhere to have some kind of income for the time being. Restaurants, retail, etc... the pay would probably be around what you were originally making anyway.

I don’t know how you were surviving on 40k. Honestly I’d be applying to any and everywhere. Sell anything you’re not using. Cut any subscriptions you can live without. Start driving delivering anything you can. Hell I’d be wrapping presents for a fee. Every minute you can spare, work, or look for work. Grind until you find something.
