I don’t know whether to have my bf move in or stay living separately?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 4 years and have lived separately the whole relationship. We’ve been talking about him moving in with me to save money since we wouldn’t be paying double bills but I keep going back and forth in my head. I’m just thinking that I might miss having the whole place to myself since that’s how it’s been for so long. What are your thoughts or suggestions?

I think if you feel this way, maybe you aren’t ready to be in a serious relationship.
4 years is a long time to be with someone and living apart. You could be living together and saving so much money for your future. Wedding, kids, vacation…whatever it is yall want. 
Where do yall see your relationship over the next 5 years? If together, it’s time to move in.

Do you see your whole future with him?? After 4 years you should have a pretty solid idea if you want marriage and all that. Do you guys already spend most of the time together?? If yes id do it without a 2nd thought. Just as an example just financially we will say you each pay 1000 a month in rent and bills (yes probably low but to make it easy). You both are spending 24K combined in just rent/basic utilities. Not paying the extra 12K could be a down payment on a house, a bomb ass honeymoon etc as you guys take the next steps. If you guys respect each other and have good communication living together doesnt mean no privacy or space. Be respectful of the other and if you need some space tell them.

I think 4 years paying for two households if you want to be together is wild. Honestly I don’t know why people waste any time moving in. If you plan to be with someone long term testing living together is a necessity in my opinion. You planning to date for 10 years then test out living together? Seems like a lot of time to waste to find out living with him uncovers a deal breaker.
