For a few years now, I have experienced extreme itchiness on my labia majora. It's not constant, it comes on every couple of weeks on average and it never seems to be related to anything in particular. I wear clean undies everyday that are 100% cotton, I use a gentle body wash with no scents or dyes and I always make sure it's thoroughly rinsed off. When it comes on I always think "I'll just wait it out, it has to go away eventually" but it's so intense that I can't ignore it and I can't focus on anything else and it makes me feel desperate for relief. The only way I can stop it from itching is by wetting a small towel and scrubbing/itching with it. I never itch with my nails because of germs and also anytime I've done that it causes bleeding because of how hard I scratch in the moment. I have tried yeast infection medication before and it didn't help, I used the full week of it but all it did was cause intense burning in my vagina. I don't have any notable discharge or smell. I have PCOS but idk if that would have anything to do with it.
