Cramping third trimester

So i had to be induced for high BP/preeclampsia with my first so im not exactly sure what a contraction feels like but i dont think this is that. I’m 34 weeks tomorrow and the past two days ive been getting cramping at the bottom left and bottom right side of my belly almost near my hips. Never at the same time. Its only one side that will cramp for a couple minutes (almost like a gas pain) and then it stops. Is this my body just preparing for labor? I have an appointment tomorrow so i plan to discuss it with my provider.
