OPill Users?

I’ve been using the OTC birth control OPill for a couple of months now and have been experiencing longer periods than I had without it and each cycle for the last 2 months have only been 2 weeks apart (the one I started today has only been a week from my last 🤩) and it’s getting insane and I’m about to pull my hair out.

I did my research on this and have taken the ingredient in the pill before (as Lo-Loestrin)and did not experience issues like this and haven’t since I was a teenager, and these frequent periods are similar to what I experienced taking levonorgestrel, NOT the norgestrel that’s supposedly in OPill. It’s also the same dosage as the Lo-Lo I had taken a while back, so I don’t understand where the discrepancy is coming from. I have the understanding that progestin-only pills are supposed to eliminate your period, not make it longer and more frequent?!

I searched the side effects on the site only to get a very vague explanation (photo) and nothing to go on except “Yea, you could have this or you could have that. Guess you’ll just have to wait to find out kid 🤷🏼‍♀️ Sorry”. I would reach out to their support but I have a feeling I’m going to be told to contact my GYN which I don’t have at the moment, which is why I started this pill in the first place until I could find permanent care.

I’m wondering if anyone else has tried this out yet as well and maybe what your experience with it is? If anyone has had the same problems I’m having and you consulted your physician, what did they say?
