IUD mirena birth control

Hi all I got the IUD mirena put in back in I believe may I believe October should have been my 6 Month mark. The doctor told me the bleeding should slow down or just stop but it has not at all I had en ultrasound done to make sure it has not moved she said it's where it should be and everything is fine but the bleeding won't stop and since I have got it I think there has only been 2 weeks altogether that I have not been bleeding

Is this normal I normally just take the pills but wanted something longer and more effective. And this is what the ob recommended. What is your experience with this IUD because so far for me this is awful and tampons get expensive 🥲 after awhile.
