can you ovulate on your period?

currently day 4 of “period” it started out as brown/pink spotting that i really only saw when i wiped and very little on my liner and i went 2 days without a tampon and i had one in all day where as i normally i would use like 2-3 tampons i’ve only used 1-2 in 4 days and i took an ovulation test yesterday (day 3) and it was VERY VERY faint obviously a negative result but todays (as pictured) was so much darker so im asking am i about to ovulate in a few days or could it be picking up hcg in my system ? should i test or should i expect to ovulate soon?
